What’s up college hoops fans? The intensity of tourney time is insane with favorites like Duke, Kentucky, and Florida at the mountain top. Then there are the underrated teams such as Oklahoma State, Harvard, and Connecticut at the bottom trying to prove that they are just as good as the top ranked college teams. Now let’s get to the actual tournament finally. Out of the gate, an upset is always in the midst of the analyst and the fans every year. It is known that in the years of college basketball that anyone can be beaten and history has a way of proving that. People always sleep on underrated teams that usually have good programs, but just haven’t got the credit that they deserve. Duke has suffered the same fate to the Mercer Bears losing in the second round with a score of 78-71. America’s most anticipated team of Duke is beaten with a great freshman leading them by the name of Jabari Parker, who is projected to go into the top 3 picks of the NBA draft has a huge unexpected upset by what should have been the easiest tournament win ever. Moving on to the most intense games. The most intense games in this tournament consisted of Kentucky and their guard who stepped up to the plate Aaron Harrison. Mr. Clutch as Kentucky fans like to call him. He hit all the clutch helping Kentucky win against top seeds such as Louisville, Michigan, and Wisconsin. Pulling them to face in the national championship against the Connecticut Huskies, coached by Kevin Ollie who have a backcourt consisting of Illinois native Ryan Boatright and Shabazz Napier. These guys are the head of the games running everything including the best Connecticut offense and transition that college basketball has to offer. Now let’s move on to the winning team of the overall tournament. The Connecticut Huskies whose leading scorer was Shabazz Napier who played a great overall game in the crunch time of events in Basketball was crowned champions. As of next year, I know I’m going to be tuned into the NCAA basketball new teams, expectations, and new fans are on the rise and some college players will go to the next stage in the NBA.
