The 2015 Joliet Central Girls’ Soccer Varsity team has had an astounding season so far. This year, the girls’ record is 7-3-1, and 2-0 in conference. Also, the team won the Consolation Championship for the Windy City Classic, and played at Toyota Park. This is one of the best starts to a girls soccer season since the split from Township. With head coach, Erin Fahey, and assistant coach, Stephanie Phillips, the team is very dedicated and work their hardest for victory, and their record is proof of their heart for the sport of soccer. With captains, Milena Singletary, Stephanie Cardenas, and Kathia Arredondo, the team truly works their hardest in practice to succeed in their games and tournaments. Coach Fahey expresses how the season is going so far by saying, “They are such a great group of girls, and are so fun to work with. With 3 weeks left of the regular season, we have some of the toughest conference games ahead of us. These girls are so determined to have one of the most memorable seasons of their high school careers. “Couldn’t ask for a better team. They are led by an amazing group of seniors. They are going to be missed tremendously, and will leave a lasting impression on Joliet Central Girls Soccer”. The varsity team has set a huge influence for the lower teams, and the seniors will truly be missed one the season comes to an end.
