Every year as soon as Thanksgiving is over there are two things people in Joliet look forward to. We look forward to Black Friday sales and the Thanksgiving/Christmas parade. Every year there is a big celebration in downtown Joliet. A lot of the students at Central High School are participants in the parade. There are cheerleaders, musicians, and students that are in clubs that get to join the parade. These students have a lot of dedication, considering the fact that it’s always freezing during this time of year. Also, in the parade there is of course, lots of candy. It’s like Halloween in November! At the parade there are all sorts of decorations. Kylie Link only goes to get the free Milano bread that their float throws out! Who knows, maybe your favorite store or restaurant will be there handing out free goodies. My favorite part is the lighting of the tree and the fireworks. I go with my uncle every year and it is overall a very good show!
