Homecoming!

Cheyenne Fogel, Reporter

Homecoming is always a great way to the start off a new year. It is an opportunity to gather with friends and have a good time dancing and socializing. The week leading up to homecoming is always something that starts off slow but by the end of the week, the whole school seems to be painted in colors of the theme. With the whole school gathering for the assembly, everyone cheers for our sports and clubs. The morning of the dance the parade got everyone pumped up and our football players worked hard but unfortunately lost their game. Finally the night ended with the event that everyone was waiting for. This year’s dj did a great job keeping everyone on their feet, playing songs such as the Dougie, the Quan, and the ever classic Cha Cha Slide. The scenery was simple yet affective. Balloons covered the walls and the celling, creating a large tent to work with the theme of being The Greatest Show on Earth. Everyone looked flawless, from the couples dancing, to the friends who went purely to have a fun time and even the wallflowers who tried to enjoy the social event. The entire dance was filled with such a great energy, thanks to student council who worked hard to put the whole event together. The winners for Homecoming Court 2015 are as follows: Freshmen: Serena Williams and Jared King. Sophomores: Madison Boykin and Jose Rodriguez, Juniors: Gretchen Volling and Cameron Harvey.
