Open House 2016

This year’s Open House took place on September 7th. Open House is a time where students and their parents can come meet their teachers for the upcoming school year, take a tour of the school, and map out a course to each individual class every day. During this year’s Open House some of the students from the Food Fundamentals class made treats to give out to anyone coming past. Open House is also a time for clubs to promote themselves, like the French Club, Key Club, and Speech Team. Students who come to open house usually receive extra credit just by stopping into their teacher’s classrooms and having their parent or guardian sign in. When parents and teachers have a chance to meet before the school year fully begins it allows a smoother and more involved relationship between students, parents, and teachers. You may also stop by the Guidance hallway and meet with Guidance Counselors and Deans. In the Student Center, the Jazz Band and Orchestra perform songs for people passing through making it an even better experience for all. Open House is not something to pass up, especially because of all the great opportunities for the students.
