On May 19, 2009 fox aired the pilot episode of Glee to many anticipated viewers. From the first minute to the very last the viewers were glued to their television screens, by all the charming characters and sensational singing. This comedy drama is about a former Glee participant, and the McKinney Spanish teacher wanting to host a Glee club for their school. With permission from his boss Glee auditions are in full swing. With only five original members; Rachel Berry, Artie Abrams, Kurt Hummel, Tina Cohen-Chang, and Mercedes Jones, at first the group did not look promising, but after some convincing from Mr. Shuester the group made it to its needed 12 members. These members include: Finn Hudson, Quinn Fabray, Santana Lopez, Noah Puckerman (Puck), Brittany Pierce, Mike Chang, and Sam Evans. Although the members of new Directions did not always get along they always managed to pull off some great musical numbers. Some episodes include songs from Madonna, Journey, Lady GaGa, All-American Rejects, Paramore, Queen, and also many songs from TV shows, and musicals. Not only does Glee have great music, but also it has real life situations that everyone can relate to. In one episode called “Preggers” head cheerleader and president of the Celibacy club, Quinn Fabray discovers that she is pregnant by Puck, who is not her currant boyfriend. Without wanting to hurt Finn and tell him the truth about who got her pregnant, she keeps it a secret. Later on her choice turns for the worse, making a sticky situation for all of New Directions. Rachel’s need for power creates conflict between the club members, and almost breaks them up. Will there be a Glee club after sectionals? Can Mr.Shuester keep the club together, while dealing with his problems at home? Watch Fox on Tuesdays to answer these anticipated questions.
