Ghostbusters: Afterlife

Director Jason Reitman and producer Ivan Reitman made the new 2021 Ghostbusters: Afterlife. In this movie a single mother(Carrie Coon) and her two kids(Mckenna Grace and Finn Wolfhard)  arrive in a small town and  they begin to discover their connection to the original ghostbusters and the secret legacy their grandfather left behind.

The movie begins with a car chase between one of the original ghostbusters and a ghost, and the original ghostbuster is trying to catch this ghost but he fails so the ghost kills him.

The daughter Phoebe is curious about things that people don’t usually care about, she’s a very smart young girl. She ends up finding the device Egon Spengler (which is the children’s grandfather) used to track the spirits. She eventually finds the ghost trap that was used back when her grandfather was still alive and working. So she gets her teacher Mr Gooberson(Paul Rudd) and her new friend Podcast(Logan Kim) to see if they can open it. They do get it open but they end up releasing a spirit the same spirit that killed Egon

The son Trevor ends up finding the ghostbusters car and he fixes it so he can drive it. Which comes in handy because the kids use it to trap their first ghost. The kids plus this one girl Lucky  (Celeste O’Connor) go down to this dark cave filled with statues of Gozer so they can figure out what is really going on in this town.

The mom and Mr Gooberson get possessed by the demons that possessed Diane and Lewis in the original movie. So now the kids have to get the key master and the gatekeeper together, which now are the mom and Mr Gooberson.

The original ghostbusters(Ray, Venkman, and Winston played by their original actors) all come back to fight Gozer. As they are fighting the ghost of Egon comes back to help and they all end up defeating the demon.
