Music is involved in everyone’s daily lives. We could be driving, taking a walk, shopping, or even sitting, or reading a book, and music will still be playing somewhere. Music can help you if you’re in a bad mood or even an excited mood! Since medieval music and Renaissance music have a lot of music genres involved, the type of album genre that I’m going to recommend is R&B music. R&B is one of my favorite genres to listen to, as it helps me get through my day and lightens my mood. The first album I’m going to be recommending is the “While We Wait” album by Kehlani. The album contains 9 tracks with a length of 31:19. This is one of my favorite albums by Kehlani because it really takes you on a rollercoaster, being some songs are upbeat, while others are slow and steady. Kehlani is one of the most influential artists out right now and deserves more recognition for her work! The second album I’m going to be recommending is the “F The World” album by Brent Faiyaz. The album contains 10 tracks with nice and smooth songs. Brent Faiyaz is one of the artists where every single album they put out, it’s always going to be a good time. Listening to his whole discography during quarantine was a laid-back experience, because his songs just get you so hooked that you don’t want to stop listening. “F The World” is my favorite album by him and honestly, I can’t wait for more from him. The third and last album I’m going to be recommending is the “I Used To Know Her” album by the Grammy award winning artist, H.E.R. It was so hard for me to pick an album to recommend from her discography because all of her albums are one of the best R&B albums in my opinion. The album contains 19 tracks including remixes and live songs. This album is filled with songs that are very interesting because of H.E.R’s artistry and composing. She is so talented and deserves everything she accomplished. This album also takes you on a rollercoaster too, again filled with upbeat danceable music with slow and soft songs. Now, there’s plenty more R&B artist albums to listen to like Daniel Caesar, Lauryn Hill, Sabrina Claudio, Lucky Daye, Teyana Taylor and more. Discovering new music is a refreshing thing to do in your free time, so if you’re interested in R & B music these might be some albums to listen to! Happy listening!
