Formed on November 12, 2020, Stayc are a K-pop girl group that consists of 6 members: Sunmin, Sieun, Isa, Seeun, Yoon and J. Even though they are only a rookie group, they have been dominating the K-pop industry and every single song, starting from their debut song, ‘So bad’ to ‘RUN2U’ has gone viral on social media. Now, they are considered one of the greatest fourth-generation girl groups.

Stayc has finally returned with yet another hit, and fans are loving it! Unlike their last song, ‘Stereotype’ was a cute and youthful song, while their lead song ‘RUN2U’ is more of a fresh and vibrant retro-styled song that emphasizes a repetitive yet unique chorus. Although both of these songs are bright and youthful, there is a clear sense of maturity and growth. This song talks about how the Stayc girls are ready to risk it all and ‘run’ to their significant other no matter what.

‘SAME SAME’ is a very chill and cute song but it is extremely different from ‘RUN2U’. Firstly, it’s not repetitive and it’s much more of a chill song rather than a nostalgic song. Secondly, this song rather focuses more on Si-eun’s light vocals.

The next track is ‘247’ and this song is another R&B styled song. In this song, Stayc teaches us what it’s like to be in love. “No matter where you are. I stay by your side, with you. I won’t let go of your hand.” They definitely defined what it’s like being in love with this song.

On the other hand “Young Luv’ delivers a bittersweet story of unrequited love, meaning that the love is not returned. Unlike the other songs in the album this one takes an unexpected turn, it’s a mix of pop and ballad with a guitar presence. The vocals are very dramatic and so are the lyrics. I would say Yoon and Se-Eun really stand out in this song since they have most of the English lines.

The next track is ‘Butterfly’ and this song is smooth-sounding with a smooth bass and a delicate guitar in the background. Comparing their love and partner to a butterfly was a pretty clever way to show imagery and made the lyrics much more different and unique.

The closing track, ‘I want you baby’ is another chill and relaxing song. The vocals were incredible and was a very enjoyable song to listen to.

Young-Luv.com was another amazing album made by Stayc. Everything about the album was just perfect, the vocals, the meaning behind the songs and album, their visuals and the group’s delivery. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who’s into R&B.
