It’s the Highschool ditch of the century, and the legend Ferris Buller (Mathew Brodrick), is making one last hurrah before graduation–going on one big wild ride. Alongside good friend Cameron (Alan Ruck), and his love interest Sloan (Mia Sara), Cameron’s dad’s most prized possession–a 1961 Ferrari 250 GT– joins in on the fun. Though, his father loves this car more than life itself. Ferris’s Principal is out to get him, being that this is his last chance to truly give Ferris what he deserves once and for all. It looks like now it’s time to take attendance, and.. ‘Save Ferris”.
Classically know as the ultimate 80s teen hit, everyone knows about the fantastic fantastic directing, as well as good acting and photography. Superb Chicago shots throughout the backdrop as one last blaze of glory for a highschooler who dreams of what most his age do. That is, simply doing what they wish. Overall this film is a step into the memorable coming of age stories, specifically about how good times can pass people by. If you don’t take on every moment then, what’s life worth living without that fun? For clear reasons, this is Mathew Brodrick ‘s most popular movie, playing the main character and proving how one kid can make a whole school. I truly think that there is no one more legendary than Ferris Buller. Moreover, John Hughes –as usual– writes and directs his own films and gives you a laugh out loud comedy. The relatable characters and real problems they go through truly make this masterpiece appealing to a very wide audience. I give this movie 6 gold bars for directing and writing, 9 silver bars for acting and 7 for film photography. I will see you next time you want to come back to the movies!
