Halloween Events in Joliet

Tony Larios

Most of the Halloween events are well into October, which makes sense and it’s only September so it’ll take a while actually to go to these events. There’s the Old Joliet Prison, where they host “haunted tours” as early as the 22nd of September. It’s an hour-and-a-half walk-through, covering the scarier side of the Prison. Workers share some of the most disturbing stories as you go through the prison at night. The Forge is also doing a Halloween event on October 22nd, it is an event you can go you don’t have to be 21 to enter, but you do have to be 21 to drink. It’s $12 for General Admission, and $15 for the Day of Show, which for those who may not know, is the purchase of the tickets on the actual day of the performance. “Upper Reserved” seats are sold in a range of $24-$30. You can also participate in Trunk or Treat as well, what is trunk or treat exactly? Well apparently it’s just a car hangout where they decorate their car in Halloween style, what do you do there? For those who are unaware, it might be in your best interest to attend. You can go and figure out if it’s a neat event…or maybe it’ll be boring… but an experience nonetheless.
