One of the most influential artists of our time uses her extreme platforms from her Instagram to her lyrics to spread awareness for many issues minorities face today. From her 2016 Video Music Award performance, to her lyrics, and to her meaningful music videos, Beyoncé never fails to use her majestic voice for something meaningful. Beyoncé uses her art to talk about feminism, police brutality, black power, and equality in general. In her hit song, Flawless she voices the true meaning of feminism and why it is an important value we should all accept all around the world. She used her Formation music video to exemplify police brutality in efforts to bring attention to the horrible injustice of countless black people. Taking a step away from her music, Beyoncé is constantly posting about current events on her Instagram. For example, during the presidential election she encouraged all her fans to vote if they could, more specifically to vote for Hillary Clinton. More recently, she has been posting about hurricane Harvey relief and how everyone can help. Sharing her political beliefs is nothing new for Beyoncé, as she has been one of the most dominant celebrities ever. With a whopping one hundred and six million Instagram followers, she is extremely impactful to the large crowd of followers she has.  Many Instagram photos that hold a deeper meaning than meets the eye are; a video of herself wearing a “black magic” t-shirt, “Bey-good Houston”, “Help those affected by hurricane Harvey”, “VOTE”, and an abundance of more significant pictures. Through Beyoncé’s music, dances, videos, and Instagram she spreads her positive messages in hoped of them being accepted as the change we need in 2017. With the amount of fame she holds Beyoncé is the start of a new world full of more love and less hate.
