Homecoming Dance

The homecoming dance on Saturday, October, 9th was an absolute blast! It was from 6pm until 9pm. When you first arrived at the dance, you entered through the main doors. You then proceeded through a metal detector and signed into the dance. In the student center there were many photo opportunities; there were also refreshments and snacks. There was a red carpet path leading into the cafeteria where you could find a DJ, cupcakes, and seats. As you proceed to enter the cafeteria, students are given many more photo opportunities inside.

At the beginning of the dance, things were a bit slow. People were chilling in the student center, or sitting in the cafeteria. Not many people were dancing but once that clock hit 6:30 the cafeteria was filling up. Soon by 7pm the place was completely filled with freshmen, sophomore, juniors, and seniors. Everybody was having a great time dancing, talking and singing! In the cafeteria corner there was a sign that read Hollywood. In the student center there was a big chair friends could pose in. There were also many backdrops for photos.

In the student center there were cookies and water and in the cafeteria there were cupcakes available. Other than that there were no outside drinks or food allowed. Personally, I think this was the only bad part of the experience. The water was gone in around an hour and the cafeteria was overwhelmingly warm because of all the bodies.

There was a point in the dance that students were told to settle down. This was when multiple people started crowd-surfing and people were chicken fighting but other than that the dance was an absolute hit! There was quite a bit of a mess left afterward but all of the students that attended had a great time. Thank you to the staff and the school for hosting this amazing event.
