Holiday Parades

Winter holidays are all about gift-giving and creating special memories with friends and family but what’s a better way to celebrate with those beloved ones than attending holiday events? As winter break starts approaching, one might experience boredom and before you know it, winter break is officially over. However, there are many things you can do to beat this year’s boredom.

You can go to the Ravenswood Light Up Nights on December 16th through the 18th, starting at 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. It’s completely free and it’s a neat little light show to visit and have fun at.

Moving on, there is also the Holiday Magic event in Brookfield Zoo on December 11th from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m., if you’re willing to purchase tickets. For those looking forward to seeing animals, you are out of luck! Most animals this year will be put inside so the only thing you are going to see is the light show.

There’s also the Winter Wonderland event in Bridges of Poplar Creek Country Club, which Starts on December 10th from 10 a.m. to 1:30 a.m. They have ice-less skating, sled dogs, gingerbread house-making competitions, sleigh rides, and more. They even have a petting zoo! For instruments…It’s an instrument petting zoo… still has plenty of content for you and your family or friends.

Lastly, there’s the Fiesta Navideňa at 1905 E Higgins Rd, Elk Grove Village, IL. It starts on December 11th through the 12th from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. This event will include a variety of foods like Venezuelan ham bread. It will also have different types of desserts and music.
