On February 12th, 2023, one of the most anticipated football events returned yet again with another thrilling game and fascinating halftime show. The Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs were neck and neck during the first half of the game, but with a final score of 38-35, the Kansas City Chiefs went home as champions.

However, more excitement was yet to come because two special guests were performing in this year’s halftime show! This year the one in charge of the halftime show is the Barbadian singer, actress, and businesswoman. Born in Saint Michael and raised in Bridgetown, Barbados,  with more than 100 awards in her career: Rihanna.

After several years of absence, Rihanna used the Super Bowl LVII’s halftime show to step on stage and perform some of her biggest hits. A few include: “B—- Better Have My Money,” “Work,” “All of the Lights,” and “Diamonds.”

Upon Rihanna’s arrival on the stage, she wore a bright red Alaïa puffer coat over a red Loewe jumpsuit and glossy bustier, completing the outfit with a pair of red sneakers.

The highly anticipated performance included a series of floating stages and a group of dancers wearing all-white puffy jumpsuits with black sunglasses. Before the show came to an end, Rihanna topped off her outfit with a dramatic oversized puffer coat.

Rihanna performed the entire halftime concert on her own, unlike many other Super Bowl halftime headliners in the past who brought out special guests. However, her special “guest” seemed to be her baby! During her iconic performance, she took the time and opportunity to announce her pregnancy to the world.

Although many believed this performance would be underwhelming, Rihanna quickly quieted them down and made history as the first known pregnant star to perform in the Super Bowl Halftime show.
