This season the Girls Varsity Soccer team is filled with inexperienced athletes. Even though they do not have the experience for soccer, these girls are ready to learn. With a total of 3 Seniors, 6 Juniors, and 2 Sophomores on the Varsity team this team is full of youth. Maybe now they have no experience but since it is a youthful team if they return next season the new Varsity team will have more experience. As of now the standings are 2 wins- 8 loses- and 0 ties. This season has been challenging for the team, not only because of the youthfulness but also some of the players have been hit by injuries. With the guidance of their coach, Dean Contreras, and their three captains: Paulina Razo, Samantha Herrera, and Erica Hernandez, the team tries their hardest. Dean Contreras looks for hard workers and those who put academics over everything else, most of the team excels those expectations, only a few of the girls fall short. The three captains were chosen because of the same expectations: being hard workers, doing their best, but also being good leaders and leading by example. These three girls have done that and more. The team may be off to a rocky start but with hard work and leadership they could turn it around any moment.
