Did you miss the game you’ve just been dying to see? Can’t
make it to the school to watch your favorite players? No need to worry anymore!
The Communications and Marketing Club (CMC) has got it all taken care of. New
this year, the CMC has started to record home games, and post them on the
District 204 website. Want to talk along with your friends at the game? CMC
also streams the games live on the website.
Kristine Schlismann, director of community relations, heads
the Communications and Marketing club, and believes this is a great way to get
students more involved with the sporting activities around school. Members of
the club, including Sophomore Brittany Jordan and Senior Dominic Rohe operate
the cameras themselves, and have them hooked up directly to the District 204
website.
The Communications and Marketing club does more than just
broadcast sporting events. The club also works to fix problems in the community
and works to help spread the 7 Character Attributes throughout the school. They
work to put together self-shot, directed, produced, and edited commercials to
broadcast on SNN to show the school what the 7 Character Attributes mean.
Next time you miss a game, or want to watch one of your
favorites, be sure to check out the District 204 website’s athletics section,
and you just might find what you need.
