The Patriots came into this season, with high expectations after making it to the Super Bowl, the year before, they were the favorite to win their division. With “the man trying to beat father time”, Tom Brady in his early 40’s people were doubting the team. The team was very mediocre through the middle of the year with bad losses against the Jacksonville Jaguars, Detroit Lions, and the infamous “Miami Miracle”. However, Tom Brady would not let this year go to waste. The road to the Super Bowl this included a win against the Los Angeles Chargers in the Division round, and an intense overtime win against the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship Game. When Tom Brady, was asked about the game and this year he responded passionately with, “We’ve overcome a lot this year, down but not out.” When asked how the team played he firmly said, “We’ve have had four good weeks… but now we need one more.”

The Rams came into the season with good expectations as they made it to the NFC Wild Card game, last season. Last season the team finished with a record of 11-5, people were saying this team was Super Bowl bound from day one, and the team did not disappoint. They started off 8-0 and were sitting on top of the NFL Power Rankings. Then, they had a sudden step back when they lost to the New Orleans Saints, they got back on track, until another loss against the Chicago Bears. NFL experts, and analyst, where saying that this team was not ready to go to the Super Bowl. Another loss come at the hands of the then defending champs, Philadelphia Eagles. It was looking very bleak for the Rams of LA. Suddenly, there was a spark, the Rams won their last two games, and carried that momentum into the playoffs. With a resounding victory over the Saints in the NFC Championship Game. Quarterback Jared Goff after the win was asked what it means to win the game he said, “Unbelievable man, the fight we had…unbelievable.” The New England Patriots versus the Los Angeles Rams, for Super Bowl LII, February 3, 2019 from the Mercedes Benz- Stadium should be rocking when these two meet.
