Super Bowl Preview

Gregory Bokor, Reporter

This year is the fifty-third Super Bowl and is taking place in Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta Georgia, home of the Falcons. The game will be between the New England Patriots and the Los Angeles Rams on February 3rd. The New England Patriots led by Tom Brady, who are representing the AFC in the Super Bowl for the third straight year finishing the season 11-5. They defeated the Chargers in the divisional round, then went on to upset the 1st seed Kansas City Chiefs in the conference championship on their way to another Super Bowl appearance. The Los Angeles Rams led by Jared Goff, are appearing in their first Super Bowl since 2001 where they lost to the Patriots. They finished their season 13-3 then beat the Cowboys and Saints on their journey to the title. Also, this year’s halftime show will feature Maroon 5, Travis Scott, and Big Boi. So far about 51% of predictions are saying that the Rams will win this year, and even though I can see the Rams high power offense exploding and their defense might be able to slow down Brady you can never count out the Patriots because they always somehow find a way to win. So my prediction is that the Patriots are going to win because the Rams RB Todd Gurley may not be ready to play and without him, the Pats’ defense should have a way easier time at getting another ring.
