NBA off season

Shawn Bruzzo

The Chicago bulls this offseason hasn’t made a ton of moves but they have signed Andre Drunmond which will help with their bench depth especially with Nikola Vuceivic under performing last season. Unfortunately Lonzo Ball is still dealing with his knee injury and doesn’t have an expected time to get back on the court, though Lonzo Ball is dealing with injuries Zach Lavine should be fully healthy during this season. One of the bigger trades this offseason was the trade between The Cleveland Cavaliers and Utah Jazz which Cleveland traded Collin Sexton and a couple others and picks for the All Star shooting guard Donavan Mitchell, though that trade made their backcourt a defensive liability they still have one of the best front court defenses with Evan Mobley and Jarret Allen. The Minnesota Timberwolves also made a trade with Utah for their All Star center Rudy Gobert, with the timberwolves making the playoffs last year the defensive presence of Rudy Gobert will help them because Karl Anthony Towns is a lower tier defender, but one of the best if not the best 3 point shooting big man in league history. During the 2022-2023 draft the Oklahoma City Thunder drafted Chet Holmgren with the 2nd pick unfortunately he suffered a Lisfranc injury to his right foot and will be out for the season, guess we will have to wait another year to see this top prospect play on a NBA court. With all these roster changes this next NBA season will be interesting to see how these trades affected the teams.
