This April, the Joliet Central Archery team is expected to participate in the NASP national tournament after placing first in state in March. The team will be heading down to Sandy, Utah from the 21-26th of April. The Joliet Central Archery team is a team that is under the JROTC program, students only in the JROTC program can join the team, although there are some expectations for certain students.
On March 15, 2025, the Varsity Archery team headed down to State. That day the Joliet Central Team left state as the winning team in first place. During the 21-26th of April of 2025, the archery team will be having a road trip from Illinois to Utah in order to attend their National competition on the 24th of April. They will be participating in the NASP Archery competition. The Archery team begins to arouse emotions as competition day begins to get closer, “Although I am nervous, I feel like having fun should be our biggest priority when competing” said an anonymous archer.
As a result this will impact Joliet Central by boosting its pride. Although most students aren’t aware of the archery team, it’s still pretty important to be part of Archery Nationals. After nationals, the archery team will no longer be having practices until next year when open tryouts for everyone are out.
