Can you hear the bells? The holiday season is here so let your ears open a few presents early and treat yourself to carols galore, along with a diverse range of other musical arrangements.
From orchestras to flutes to singers, our JTHS Christmas concert consists of the orchestra, band, and concert choirs! This was centrals first year doing this and it was a wonderful idea! This year the Yule-tide spirit was definitely felt in the auditorium on December fourth.
There were several pieces that were very familiar to our ears. From “Sleigh ride” to “Bells of Christmas” it was a magnificent experience. The experience was ideal for the entire family! There were many solos and interesting arrangements of popular Christmas time songs. The orchestra was very tight and together. They never missed a beat! The band practiced so hard the weeks before the concert to perfect the songs that the band director, Mr. Fiske, chose. The crowd’s response to the band’s performance was undeniably jolly! The choir’s performances did a great job as well. Alfred McGee’s solo was especially captivating. We feel sorry for anyone who did not get a chance to catch this awesome show as it was one of the best this year! If you missed it this year, remember this is an annual concert so be sure to check it out next year! It is an experience that is not to be missed.
