Girls soccer

Melanie Briceno, Reporter

The girls’ soccer season is just around the corner. There are 12 days dedicated towards conditioning. The first day for conditioning starts on Monday, January 11 and takes place on 1/13, 1/20, 1/21, 1/25, 1/27, 2/1, 2/3, 2/8, 2/10, 2/17, 2/22. In conditioning, the girls run together, and at different levels. The different levels are 25, 50, 75, 100. At level 25 it’s just a light jog, and 100 is a sprint. You start off at 25 and the coach will shout out the levels every few minutes. After a while, the girls will go out in the hallway and do work outs for your core and abdomen. Conditioning is from 3:30-5:30and will meet in the upstairs track if you’re interested. Make sure to bring comfortable workout clothes and proper shoes. Tryouts start Monday, February 29- Thursday, and end March 3rd. However, the time and locations are to be announced. When you’re on a team you have to be dedicated to the sport. When trying out for soccer you should think about things like, will you have a ride home after practice? After games? Are you passing at least 5 classes? Will you be able to attending most of all the practices that are going to be held most likely every day? You have to be passing 5 classes or else you will be ineligible. Remember, the season is almost here, so be ready ladies.
