Hi, I’m Jimena Urbano. I’m a sophomore at Joliet Central and I have been a part of Journalism for 2 years now but I have officially become a developmental editor this year. My role before becoming an editor was to write an article every so often about important things to me that I felt that should be seen/brought up to other students at Joliet Central. Journalism has taught me many things about how much writing helps as a voice when you feel like it is impossible to speak up and that to me is a huge accomplishment. Journalism has helped me be able to get out of my comfort zone, get more involved with school, and be more in clubs. My goals this year is to do more for the newspaper, as in bring more students into this club and to get noticed by more students at Joliet Central. I have always enjoyed being in Journalism and I can not wait to do more for the newspaper this year!
