Casandra Reyes, Developmental Editor
I am a senior in the Advanced Multimedia Journalism class, and I’ve had the opportunity to be a part of this class for all 4 years at Joliet Central. I am also an artist and being in this class has given me one more opportunity to display my creativity and explore outside the creative box. I chose journalism initially because I enjoy writing, but I choose to continually be a part of this class because the perspective I’ve gained in this class has been great. The people I’ve had the pleasure to work with are great guides and take on their leadership roles amazingly. The environment is welcoming to take risks, no matter what role you play. We’re all learning from one another. Come senior year, I’ve improved my writing and editing skills as well as life skills like communication and responsibility. I utilize constructive criticism and keep an open mind to bigger opportunities that are presented to me. I’ve had a fun time and I’ve grown as a student and as a writer.
