Monkeypox

The worldwide global pandemic caused on January 21, 2020, originated in a marked place in Wuhan China that led to the United States. After months of being required to wear a mask outside, officials decided to make masks optional if you took the Covid-19 vaccine. This shot is meant to protect many people who come in contact with this virus, however, it will not entirely protect you and it does not mean you don’t have a chance of still getting the virus.

Although it’s not talked about anymore, Covid-19 does still exist but it is not the main priority anymore because now there is a new disease spreading around much similar to smallpox hence it being a flu-like symptom such as fever, chills and, a rash that takes up to weeks to be able to clear up and not a curable treatment to treat it yet. This new virus has been spreading mainly in the continent of Africa but it is slowly spreading all across the world.

Monkeypox can spread around in any way no matter the situation just like Covid-19.  When you think about it, it’s possible for humans to get the virus as well as get infected by it within an animal, either by being scratched or bitten by the animal, preparing meat, eating meat, or using products from an infected animal. It can spread to anyone just like direct eye contact with Monkeypox rash, scabs, or body fluids from a person with that virus. Scientists have been researching the virus yet they aren’t able to pinpoint the exact way the symptoms of Monkeypox and aren’t able to tell if it could spread into the respiratory secretions or when a person with the virus might be more likely to spread the virus through it and still cannot spread the virus from contact, physical touch, skin to skin contact and touching objects for example like a bed when it is not fully cleaned and washed used by someone who had the virus. We may be safe now but when the virus starts to spread without a cure life won’t be as pleasant as the moment you are in, enjoy it while it lasts.
